Smith Completes Strong Cross-Country Season

Last weekend, the Smith cross-country squad finished the season by competing at the New England Regional Cross-Country Championships at Westfield State University. The harriers finished 13th/60, their best result of recent memory. Danielle Opatovsky placed 40th and was Smith's highest finisher. Her time of 22:36.69 was closely followed by fellow first year Katie Ferrall. She placed 63rd with a time of 22:59.80. Kylee Drugen-Eppich completed a stellar junior season by placing 71st with 23:06.21 showing.

Cynthia Masai traversed the course in 24:03.72, for 119th place. She was followed by Victoria Dunch's 24:15.60 performance. Abby Mosca placed 154th in 24:46.52 and Micaela Young 158th in 24:50.62 to be Smith's sixth and seventh runners, respectively. The Pioneers repeated their NEWMAC showing of two-weeks prior by finishing as the third best conference team.
